“The Essence of Living”, so it is called this unique place located in a former perfume factory and its historic soul keeps on living in the flavours and smells of the rooms and throughout the hotel. The 39 elegant and exclusive suites are inspired by the olfactory notes of flowers, woods and fruit trees and from these are named.
All rooms overlook the internal garden where you can breathe an almost magical atmosphere unique in the city of Milan, made of light, peace and quiet. The warm welcome and the pleasure of the beauty characterize the inside restaurant, where a contemporary and creative cuisine welcomes also the guests not staying at the hotel.
On the first floor of the tree, it is a laboratory to which one has access from the street too: it is the LabSolue, the new Perfume Laboratory. A fascinating place that conquests and enchants with its history, a dream representing a prestigious past of emotions, talent and craftsmanship know-how.
The architecture of the laboratory is the result of a creative design and strict at the same time. An elegant wooden cupboard inspired by the memorable pharmaceutical laboratory of Marvin, cosmetic brand founded by historian Vincenzo Martone, contains period pieces of the 60’s belonging to the family archive and frames the workbench.
The warmth of wood combined with the strength of the iron and steel constitutes the structure of the four “islands”, before which customers and curious travellers can linger to discover, throughout a heady olfactory journey, 39 woody floral or fruity fragrance notes.
A small private library, consisting of works on the art of the perfumer and the fragrance literature, can be accessed by guests, that can comfortably browse the volumes on elegant velvet chairs during the preparation of essences and enjoying the Hotel’s charming green lung.
